West Plains, Mo. – We may be several months away from the start of the 2019 volleyball season, but the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team already has three new recruits on its 2019 roster.
- Maria Julia Loureiro, a 5-foot, 8-inch freshman outside hitter from Curitiba, Brazil
- Priscilla Crowell, a 5-foot, 4-inch sophomore defensive specialist from Houston, Texas
- Julieta Campana, a 6-foot, 1-inch freshman setter from Bahia Blanca, Argentina.
Head Coach Paula Wiedemann said the trio joined the team in January and already have signed their letters of intent to play for the Grizzlies beginning next fall.
Crowell comes to the Grizzlies after playing one season at Florida International University in Miami.
Grizzly fans can see the new recruits in action when they join their teammates for an intrasquad scrimmage on April 29 at the Student Recreation Center on the Missouri State-West Plains campus. More details about the event will be announced later.
